- The End Result
It’s amazing how things can change at the drop of a dog collar! We had our minds so set on acid staining the floor of the dog room but once the carpet was up and we saw the cement under it, those thoughts changed.
With all the divots left in the cement from the carpet trim as well as a couple of pretty good sized chips that the construction guys put in it when building the house, we just didn’t think it would turn out the way we wanted. Of course when acid staining, once done, it can’t be changed, so we decided why gamble. We had seen a rough tile that we liked and it wouldn’t be slick under the dogs feet, so we went back to the tile store and contracted them to come out and install.
The installer showed up at about 11:30am and went right to work. In about 30 minutes they had prepared the floor and had started laying the tile.

At first I was a bit worried that maybe the tile wasn’t going to look as good as we thought it might but at this point it was too late to change again. As the installers put more and more down, my fears were eased as it was really looking good!
So here is how it looks after the installers finished about 3:30pm. All they have to do now is come back and grout. Once that’s done and dried, the dogs will have their room back.
