Yesterday was a very good day! Fargo and Sadie both got their Canine Good Citizen awards! Even better, Mom and Dad got their weekends back!

As I am sitting on the couch relaxing I hear this strange sound coming from around the corner in the laundry room. My first thought is, dang those cats are sure making a lot of noise for eating cat food. I then realize that it is just too much noise for the cats, so I go to investigate. What should I find but that our fine young Newf boy, Fargo had figured out that the locking babygate wasn’t locked. Not only had he cleaned out the cat food bowl but he was currently in the proccess of tearing apart the cat litter box to get the goodies out of it. There was cat litter scattered all over the floor of the laundry room!

That will teach me not to lock the babygate !

Today was Intermediate Obedience graduation day for the Newfs! They both did really well on their “final exams”. Fargo easily won the pushup contest and Sadie blew everyone else away on staying with distractions. Sadly both were shamed by the Border Collie in our class when it came to the speed drills!

They’ll be taking a well deserved (and much needed) couple of weeks off before starting Advanced Obedience at the beginning of next month.
