You know, I am sure that there will be plenty of hair pulling days to come with these pups and cats. Heck we’ve already had some very trying days, which is why we decided to keep a blog on all the antics. Thus we can look back in the coming years and get a laugh over what all has happened. But here is a picture of Sadie and Fargo that remind us of why they are such great animals to have around.

OOPS, WRONG PICTURE!

That was Fargo and the swing cushion that got destroyed. Here’s the real picture…

and this is the real reason we have three pups! All it takes is one little thing like this and all the antics are quickly forgotten. Which is why we love those wasckly wabbits.

Today was the first day of training class for the Newfs. We’ve been working on their training at home since they arrived but felt like they were ready for formal classes. We took them to see Ursa’s trainer last weekend to make sure that they were ready for intermediate classes and they started today. One of the downsides to multiple puppies – you spend A LOT of time in training class and even more working on training at home.
Honestly, we weren’t expecting much out of them today. We joked that this class was a test of our ability to survive embarrassment! Fargo wants to please but he’s so focused on the treat that he sometimes forgets the commands. Sadie is Little Miss Obedient when she’s alone but is easily distracted by the other dogs. Even Ursa has been struggling with new commands lately – all in all we weren’t feeling very confident!
Aaahhh – but on our way into class a good omen came our way – a bird pooped on Fargo! It must be true that it’s good luck because both Newfs did better than expected.
Our trainer – we love you Ally!
