Yesterday I picked up a used window A/C unit to put in the dog’s room so that we didn’t have to cool the whole house this summer in an attempt to keep their little 10×10 room cool.

The dogs were bugging the crap out of me while I put it in. It went in without too much trouble, the dogs were sniffing it out seeing what this thing was all about when all of a sudden this big white thing turned into a big white monster! It started blowing air at us and making a rumbling sound. It was quite clearly a Big White Boogie Monster!

I actually turned it on with the remote that came with it. Oh my gosh, you thought the world ws coming to an end and this thing was getting ready to eat the three of them alive!

They all started barking at it and running for the back door. When I let them out, they all went running off the porch and came to a screeching halt as they rounded the corner. There was that damned monster trying to sneak out the window and get us in the yard! Will this thing never leave us alone!

It took an hour for them to quit barking at it! I wish I had had my camera with me.

This weekend was our first North Texas Newf Get Together and it was just a blast! It was held out in Greenville at Mike and Dianne Klepin’s beautiful home. Fargo pretty much hung out in the pool but pretty much just on the steps. He did actually try to swim albeit by accident at first. Being a puppy and never having been in a pool, he ran straight out to the water and went right in thinking he could stand in the water. Needless to say, he was in 4 ft of water and having to figure out how to swim immediately. Being graceful wasn’t of the highest priority at that moment.
Ursa got to tag along as well and just loved being able to run around on 3.5 acres, bark at all the surrounding noises and not be told to be quite.
It took sadie a little while but she finally got into the pool but only on the steps. She mostly liked being around Mom and Dad and getting to go run with Ursa.

We went to seminar this past weekend and the fields around us were full of Bluebonnets.
